Teams can be male/male, female/male, or female/female.
The Couplet
Every 1:30 for 8 rounds:
250/200 M row
Max thrusters in the time remaining
- Teammates alternate rounds
- Rx: 95/65, scaled: 65/45
- Monitor must be reset each time. The teammate waiting to go can be strapped in on the rower.
- Teammates will share a bar if doing the same weight. If it’s a male/female team, they’ll have 2 different bars. All teams will share a rower and adjust foot paddles as needed when they switch.
The Max
Teams will have 8 minutes to find a 1 rep max bench press.
- Male/male and female/female teams will share benches and bars. Male/female teams can use separate benches/bars.
- Since we will have male/female teams, your best lift will be divided by your bodyweight to establish your final score.
- For a rep to count, the elbows must be locked out at the start, the bar must touch the chest, the hips must stay in contact with the bench, and the elbows must lock out at the top of the rep.
- Each lift will have a spotter. The spotter can help lift the bar out of the rack and bring the bar back to the rack. If the spotter touches the bar before the rep is finished, the rep will not count.
The Floater
Rx team members will have 3 attempts to establish their longest freestanding handstand hold. The timer begins when both feet leave the ground and ends when both feet touch the ground. You are free to walk around, you do not have to remain still. Your score is the total time held added together for both teammates.
Scaled team members will hold a wall handstand as long as possible. They can do wall facing or kick up, but their hands must be touching the tape while holding. The clock begins once their hands are on the tape and the feet are on the wall.
The Chipper
For time:
10 wall walks
200 M sled push
40 deadlifts
60 lateral burpees over the bar
80 wall ball
100 crossover single unders
- Teammates can break the reps/distance up however they want, but they must complete all the reps of the exercise they’re on before moving on to the next one. One person works while the other rests.
- Rx: wall walks to the tape with both hands touching it, 280/190 sled, 225/155 deadlifts, 20/14 wall ball
- Scaled: shorter wall walk distance, 235/145 sled, 155/105 deadlifts, 14/10 wall ball, regular single unders
- 14 minute cap. If you do not finish by 14 minutes, your score is your total reps completed.
